Chriseti wins the Prix Anjou Loire Challenge

Chriseti, trained by Etienne Leenders and ridden by Wilfrid Denuault, won the €112,000 Prix Anjou Loire Challenge for the second year running

Chriseti won by 15 lengths over Silver Whisper in 2nd and Phakos in 3rd

The 4m 4 1/2f race at Lion d'Angers is the fourth leg of the European Crystal Cup series of cross country races


Horses entered to run include the first four finishers in the Crystal Cup race at Fontainebleau on April 4th and the first and third placed horses 
at Punchestown on April 26th 


Also entered is Chriseti, trained by Etienne Leenders, winner of the 
Prix Anjou-Loire Challenge in 2011 and Another Jewel, trained by Denis Murphy, winner of the race in 2010

ALL TRAINERS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH FRANCE GALOP PRIOR TO MAKING ENTRIES.

Any trainer ouside of France must now register with France for an online username and password prior to making any entries for races in France.

Download an application form from the France-Galop website
www.france-galop.com (go to Espace Professionel and then Professionel)
or a form can be obtained from The International Racing Bureau in Newmarket (01638 668881)

If trainers are intending to run their horses in France they must be entered on to the France Galop database at least 15 days prior to the day of the race. This has to be done on line or The International Racing Bureau can do it for you.

Without registering entries will not be accepted.
This became mandatory from 1st January 2012.

If any trainer has any queries regarding this they should contact James Fry or Barbie Hurrell at The International Racing Bureau.

Uncle Junior wins the La Touche Cup at Punchestown

Uncle Junior, who finished eighth in the Cheltenham cross country race, won the Le Touche Cup at Punchestown in a tremendous finish

Trained by top Irish trainer Willie Mullins and ridden by Patrick Mullins Uncle Junior, who was carrying top weight, won by a short head

Punchestown Irish National Hunt Festival

The third leg of the 2012 Crystal Cup series takes place at the
Punchestown Festival on April 26

The Punchestown Irish National Hunt Festival is considered the grande finale of the jump season in Ireland with top class horses, trainers and jockeys converging on the Kildare venue. 

The dates for the 2012 festival are Tuesday 24th to Saturday 28th April with a total of eleven Grade 1 contests take place during the week.

Punchestown is proud to be the home of Irish National Hunt Racing and host the famous La Touche Cup, the next leg of the Crystal Cup.

Maljimar wins the 2nd leg of the Crystal Cup in Fontainebleau

Maljimar, trained by Nick Williams from Devon in England and ridden by James Reveley, wins the Grand Steeple Chase Cross Country de Fontainebleau

The 12 year-olds victory, by a length and a half over Quezac de la Roque, was the first for an English-trained horse in the Crystal Cup European cross country series which began in 2010
